BALATORIUM Disturbed Waters Exhibition

BALATORIUM Disturbed Waters Exhibition

How do we envision future landscapes, and what narratives do we choose to craft? This theme addresses ecological, political, and social dimensions, including reflections on the often conflicting interests and desires of the lake's various human and non-human users. Who has access to the lake, and under what conditions? Who is welcome, and who is excluded? Who is deemed valuable, and who is not?

The exhibition highlighted the cultural and ecological connections between Lake Balaton and the Balaton Highlands. It was commissioned by the EKF VEB2023 programme as part of the BALATORIUM project, and developed under the professional and operational management of the PAD Foundation, showcasing research and projects realized in 2022 and 2023.
